Basic Medical Uniforms

All hospital requires uniform for all their medical personnel's and staffs, different uniform are being worn by the medical personnel, the said uniform are categorize according to their profession and work. Almost all medical uniform are basic and simple in design so that it’s comfortable to wear, minimal places for dirt and bacteria to hide and easy to wash. 

The most common medical uniform worn by the medical personnel are the lab coat, scrubs and the nurse uniform. Lab coat are usually being worn by the administrator and the doctors because administrator and doctors wear their own personal cloths when they go to the hospital, with lab coats they just wear it over there cloths. Lab coats are not just for easy to wear uniform, lab coats have good functional value to the wearer it protects the wearer from dirt, spills and germs. Scrubs are the most common uniform being worn by the medical personnel's and staffs. Scrubs suits are comprised of a top and trouser mostly made from cotton or polyester materials. Scrubs that are being worn during surgery are own by the hospital, hospital won’t allow the wearer to bring this scrubs at home because of the sterility issue. Nurse uniform are specially made and design for nurse personnel, the uniform are comprise of a nurse's cap, dress and pinafore apron. Today most hospital nurse uniform is just comprised of a dress and cap. Nurses have their own uniform so that it’s easier to identify them from the rest of the hospital personnel and staff because nurse is the one that always assists the patient. Aside from this three most basic medical uniform there are other two uniforms that are being worn inside the hospital; the Surgical gowns and the Hospital gowns.  Surgical gowns are only being worn inside the operating room by the doctors and the nurses that assist the doctors on their work. Surgical gowns are full body suits from head to shoe cover, mostly are made from polypropylene materials, a non-woven cloth because it gives an ignition resistance, low linting, and protection from airborne and blood borne bacteria. Surgical gowns are one time use only and disposable. Hospital gown are being worn by the patient inside the hospital, hospital gowns are also known as an exam gown, patient gown, johnny gown or johnny shirt. Hospital gown are made of cotton or polyester or both mixture of this materials so that it can withstand repeated washing in hot water for sterilization.
